Green Bear Aleppo Soap – The Original, Naturally Gentle Soap
Our Aleppo soap, also known as Aleppo*, takes its name from the ancient town of Aleppo, where it was first created. This 100% natural, vegetable-
based mother of all soaps is celebrated by dermatologists worldwide for its pure, chemical-free formula and skin-soothing properties. It’s hypoallergenic, pH neutral, and free from animal fats, chemicals, colouring, perfumes, and preservatives, making it sensitive-skin safe, ideal for babies and those people prone to eczema, psoriasis, acne, or rosacea. With its rich content of Virgin Olive Oil & Laurel Oil, it offers a luxurious cleanse and natural moisturising benefits that enhance skin softness and brightness.
Recommended for all skin types, (advisable top check babies under 1 year are allergic to Laurel oil, we would recommend to use our milder 16% Laurel Oil soap for babies under 1yr) Green Bear Aleppo soap not only helps regenerate and purify the skin but also offers multi-use versatility beyond skincare. It can be used for washing collars, help removing underarm marks from clothing, and even for caring for pets. Its gentle moisturising properties make it perfect for delicate baby skin while also catering to the needs of individuals with sensitive skin.
Produced by our own master soap maker in Turkey, this soap is traditionally composed of 40% Laurel oil and 59% Olive oil, along with mineral crystal salts. The ingredients are 100% natural – virgin olive oil, laurel berry oil, water, and lye (which dissipates during the long curing process). This centuries-old recipe offers natural, hygienic, and non-allergenic benefits, providing exceptional softness and nourishment for your skin.
Each bar is stirred in copper cauldrons, hand-cut from floor moulds, and stamped with a hallmark from our Master Soap Maker, following a 400-year-old family tradition. The soap is left to mature in the sun for 6 to 9 months, the Olive & Laurel mix transforming from green to brown, softening as it cures, enhancing both its value and effectiveness. The longer it matures, the greater its quality, adding to its appeal as a sustainable, eco-friendly product - - Classed historically as the mother of all soaps.
This CPNP registered soap is eco-friendly and long-lasting, wrapped in biodegradable packaging, and sent directly to you under our Green Bear trademark and part of our Amity Eco Range. Please note: Due to the natural drying process, the bar begins as approximately 215g, with a final weight of around 200g. This may vary slightly.
